Social Enterprise

Social Innovation Institute - MacEwan Univeristy Roundhouse

Located in Roundhouse at MacEwan University’s downtown campus, the Social Innovation Institute connects social innovation leaders and entrepreneurs from across our community to tackle some of societies biggest challenges, with a real focus on social enterprise + social economy.

Some of the options for students and public to get engaged include: courses, programs, seminars, projects, volunteering and events.

Social Justice

Shift Lab

The Edmonton Shift Lab, partnered with the Edmonton Community Foundation and Skills Society Action Lab, is focused on shifting ideas, attitudes and systems to find new solutions to community needs, with a focus on social justice. They have all kinds of innovative tools available on their site.

UofA Sustainability Council

The Sustainability Council at UofA, promotes sustainability scholarship, focused on solutions that integrate ecological renewal with social resilience and economic prosperity, offering experiential learning opportunities for students across campus, with focus on all core aspects of sustainability
